September 14 Update

We have so much to thank God for in Women's Ministries!  God is doing amazing things!

We have raised well over $3000 for the Pregnancy Resource Center so they can save more unborn lives.

We have just over 90 women studying God's Word together in our Women's Groups and Bible studies...  and this doesn't even count all of the women in other studies offered throughout the church.  And when women are in the Word, they can't help but grow in Him and say, "Yes Lord!"

We had 46 families come and make homemade meals they can freeze to make dinner time with their families easier.

We have sold 1600 tickets to the Living the Faith Women's Conference at CFC November 3-4.  I have 15 tickets left for $30 each.  I cannot wait to see almost 2000 women worshipping our Lord and Savior together!

Thank you to all of you who serve, pray and seek God's will for the ladies of FCC and our community!

June 28 Update

The summer seems to be flying by.  As I typed "June 28 Update" I thought to myself, "Can it really be June 28?"

Our summer Women's Groups/Bible studies have been an incredible blessing.  We are diligently working on the Fall line-up.  I do know Thursday groups will begin September 1 and Sunday evening will begin September 11.  I also know we will offer Beth Moore's David study on Monday nights - just not sure of the start date yet.  Keep your eyes open for updates.  Registration will begin August 7.

The June session of That Cooking Thing! was wonderful.  We made some changes that made things go even better than the first time.  The menu and registration form for the July 30 session are now on-line at http://www.fccn.org/.  Click on Ministries and then Women's Ministries and you'll see it on the WM home page.  These meals have been a blessing to my family.

Just over 1000 tickets have sold for Living the Faith Women's Conference in November.  I still have some tickets for $30 each.

Remember to continually be the hands and feet of Jesus to families...  to seek God and say YES! when He calls!  Happy 4th of July!

New! New! New!

Introducing…  “That Cooking Thing!”

What is it?  A new ministry allows you to prepare and take home 2 pans of 5-6 different entrees plus some extras such as side dishes, appetizers or desserts for $125!

How does it work?  A volunteer team will prep all the items needed to prepare the entrees.  You then come and tailor each of your meals at the meal station.  If your family doesn’t like onions, you can leave out the onions!  Each pan will serve 4-6 people and we will offer a 2-3 person per pan option as well.

When and Where?  Starting May 7 and every 6 weeks thereafter through December 3 from 1-3 p.m.  in the FCC gym.

Who can come?  Anyone who registers and pays in full by the deadline.  You do not  have to worship at FCC to come.

What should I bring?  Your $125 covers the cost of all the food and supplies.  You just need to get all your pans of food home!

How do I reserve my place?  You must register and pay in full by May 1 for the May 7 date.  You can register at the Connection Center on Sunday mornings or the church office M-F 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

What if I don’t want that many meals?  You can choose a “half” option.  This option allows you to receive half the amount for $70.

How can I serve others through this ministry?  To keep the cost as low as possible, we need many volunteers to help set up, chop food, open cans, wash dishes and the like.

For more information or to volunteer contact Erin Williamson at williamsonfamily@wowway.com or 853-2147.

Volunteers Needed for Second Annual Senior Composition Memory Book Day
Do you scrapbook?  Proofread?  Know about computers and printers?  Enjoy working with high school youth?  Have a day to give to God in the form of volunteer hours?  If you answered YES to any of these questions, the high school seniors of Warrick County could use your time and experience on Saturday, April 9th in the gym at FCC!  Why?  All Warrick County high school seniors are required to construct a memory book (scrapbook) as their final projects, which are due prior to graduation in May.  Women’s Ministry would like to extend a hand in the organization, planning, and proofreading of pages for the seniors of Castle, Boonville, and Tecumseh High Schools.  We would especially like to encourage parents of high school seniors to spend this day of bonding over memories with their students.

Many volunteers are needed to make this a success, so please give of your time and talents!  Volunteer a few hours of your day or the entire day.  If you are interested in helping, please check the box in the gray shaded area of your program tab.  For more information, contact Gina Scales at gscales@warrick.k12.in.us.

You can also donate basic scrapbooking items, so that no high school seniors will be without!  If you have new or gently used scrapbooking supplies you are willing to donate, please place them in the marked container in the main hallway.  Common items needed include:  adhesive, scissors, stickers (school, family, sports, graduation, friends), 12 x 12 acid-free paper, 12 x 12 refill pages, 12 x 12 unused albums, printer paper and printer cartridges.
